If you love authentic chai lattes as much as I do, why not try making the concentrate yourself?

it is very simple, all you need are the ingredients listed below, a pot to cook it all inn and glass bottles to store it in when the brew is finished.

Many cafes only make chai lattes from a powder mix, that is full of sugar and other preservatives that are not good for your health. Using real chai concentrate taste much better and it also contains spices and herbs that are full of antioxidants and has different healing powers.


  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons (6 tea bags) black tea like Assam ( I used less tea) 
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar ( I used app 1 spoon of sugar) 
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 10 cardamom pods
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns

Usually I never follow a recipe completely, its more a guideline for what is needed, which ingredients goes into it. I love experimenting when I cook or make things so the result can vary slightly from time to time.

Make sure you leave all the ingredients in the water over night, so you allow the flavours to set.
Strain the water into a bowl the next day, and fill up your glass bottles.
Store cold in a fridge.

I´m in a very great space myself at this very moment, and I just want to share with you all; This amazing new studio that I have become a part of, here in Oslo.

The last few weeks have been very exiting and busy, as on Saturday last week Kjernekraft – (core-power) yoga and pilates studio opened up in the heart of Oslo. We had a great opening day, with so many amazing people showing up to test the various classes we have on our timetable and getting to know all of us working there. It is going to be an amazing studio, as we are a group of very different teachers with there own unique teaching styles, and also a small bouquet of therapists giving treatments at the studio. Creating a unique concept of a good selection of yoga classes, pilates, Personal training and therapy, all in one space in the heart of Oslo.

I´m so grateful to be apart of this amazing studio from the very beginning and I know that we will help so many people to become a better and stronger version of them selves.
