Hi lovelies

Happy weekend to everyone, I´m currently sitting at my mums kitchen table, enjoying some hot lemon & ginger water watching all the beautiful colours outside. I´m home for a long weekend, spending time with family, helping my granddad going through some of my grandmas personal belongings. I still have this kind of hope that she is just away for a long holiday, so going through her belongings, is suddenly making it all so real…

…..

The third autumn month is just around the corner, so layer up season are defiantly here and it is just getting colder. Jens took some really nice photos for me the other day, as the light was great, and all the colours were magical. Real autumn is one of the great things I´ve missed these past five years as Sydney autumn is nothing special.

“Coppers, golds, and rusted tones,
Mother Nature’s way of letting go.
They fall and gather one by one,
Autumn is here, summer has gone.

Crunching as I walk through their warm fiery glow,
Nature’s carpet rich and pure that again shall grow,
To protect and shield its majestic tree,
Standing tall and strong for the world to see.”

Hi lovelies,

I´m having a day off today, which have been pretty productive actually. I´ve been out on a really nice long walk, stopping buy our local mall to get a few things needed for our apartment. Signing important petitions and researched a few things I will update you on later. I also did yoga and now eating a healthy noodle salad while updating the blog.

I´ve been so lucky to have my mums old jacket from the 80s. A beautiful suede lamb wool jacket, that is still in great condition. Most of you probably know my stands when it comes to animal products. So I only choose to purchase secondhand / vintage leather products, and in this case it was either my mum giving me her old jacket or it going to a market or someone else. It is important to me to be clear with my beliefs and decisions in this matter.

I´ve been home for a couple of days, enjoying family time, fresh ocean breeze and some forrest hiking…
Going home often allows for a more laid back style, as I´m mostly around the house, with the family or out enjoying nature. I arrived back in Oslo today, so I got to take some quick outfit photos, as I thought its nice to also show a more casual laid back look. Often outfit posts, are planned and styled up, which I actually love, but I believe it is good to show both sides of the story, as people dont always have plenty of time or energy to dress up, you can also look cool with a laid back outfit.

Hi lovelies, weekend is here again. I´m going home this weekend, spending some time with my family.
Now that I´m settled, and I got more space, I´ve taken my sewing machine out, and started on some projects. Only small once, as sewing is my least favourite part of the design process. Having that said, I do like visualising, creating & making. So when I get in the mood, it is really nice. Also seeing the result is great.

This week I´ve taken the sleeves off a linen blouse, which made it it a bit more cool. (it is a summer blouse, so wont wear it until next year) Then I found some pieces of a cool vintage fabric that I have, and a knitted top (used to be part of a dress) and made it into a new top. I love combing different textured fabrics and colours. So this top is really my style. As the back of it is short / open it will be cool with a high waisted skirt or pants.

Hi lovelies

Hope you are having a good week? We are getting settled in Oslo, so all little things need to be done and we both had our first days at new jobs, getting used to new routines, work and autumn weather…

…………

All though summer and light clothes are great, I do love it when the crisp autumn air strikes, and you can find all your woollen sweaters and over sized jackets and scarfs. Layer up with all you got.

Homemade knits are the best, and just before my grandmother got really sick she finished a new jumper for me. Those homemade knitted jumpers are gold worth, and I love the soft wool on my skin, knowing it has been made by one of my favourite people. This was the last thing she knitted, before passing. So it will have some extra value to me.

I love wearing simple accessories with knits, usually always my favourite watch in golden tones, a necklace sitting around the collar bone or at chest hight.

Hi lovelies, hope your week is going all right? We´ve almost been in Oslo a week already, and we are both starting work next week which is very exiting. As I´m having a bit off a though time, it feels good that things are falling into place and I know my grandma would have been very proud.

………..

This week I met up with a good friend of mine, Charlotte. Who have just moved back to Oslo after living in Paris for a while. She and I share the same interest in blogging, social media and fashion. So it is great to meet up, talk and help each other take photos for our blogs and social media. So much more fun when you have a friend with the same interest.

Hope you are having a lovely start to your weekend? We have been back and forth to Oslo this week again, as we are in the middle of applying for jobs, interviews and apartment hunting.
This trip from Wednesday to Thursday were a combination of all three, also including helping out during Vanessa Rudjord x ByMagMaLou´s runway show, which was a lot of fun, and I received a nice little
goodie-bag as a thanks for helping out.

………

We also saw three apartments, one that we liked a lot, so we are making up our mind this weekend if we are going for it. We still dont have jobs, it is a bit of a risk moving in already, but it is also becoming a bit exhausting going back and forth from Larvik several times a week. This apartment was just perfect. I also have a few interviews which is making it more exiting going forward. Back in Larvik again for the weekend, joining a family party and catching up with some friends, just enjoying the calm small city life, cant complain with a view like this.

I´m in on my way to Oslo again, dropping of my aussie friend then Jens and I got a few appointments today, then working for a local Oslo brand tomorrow morning, for their fashion show in corporation with the “Fashion week” here in Oslo. Fun to take part of the show, and slowly get into the industry here in Norway. It is slowly going towards autumn, new season and new opportunities. Crazy how fast the summer went?! All though I cant complain as I´ve had holiday since I finished my studies three months ago.

……….

I´ve really been loving the denim look this summer, a bit different than what I usually go for, but it is always fun to try new things right? Denim and blue hues also suit the summer time, especially when you spend time on the coast. I´ve also had all my clothes shipped to Holland, then from Holland to Norway, so my choice of clothes have been narrowed down.
