Hi lovelies, hope you are having a good week. I´m soon off to work, then heading home to Larvik later this evening, as I´m going to our little cabin in the mountains this weekend.

Fresh mountains air, smell of firewood burning & quality time with family

……..

It is time for my November eco tip and I´m really exited to share eco products, tips and simple lifestyle adjustments with you guys. I know most people are not willing to turn their life upside down to become a environmentalist, so therefore I´m not going to share any absurd crazy lifestyle changes ideas with you guys, just simple everyday adjustments.

Cleaning products is something we use everyday, and most people might not even think much off it. They stick to what they know and might not even be aware of all the nasty chemicals to be found in our everyday cleaning supplies. So next time you need new cleaning products look for a brand that has the planet in mind. I recently discovered Klar, which can actually be found in the normal super market here in Norway, they are at a very good price & they are vegan.

Keeping our planet, humans and animal in mind does not have to cost a fortune.

We only have planet, so start choosing wisely today

We are going into the last month of autumn, the darkest and most miserable one. I have to admit I´m starting to feel the heaviness of shorter days and dropped temperatures. October was not to bad over all, so Ill try staying motived as November slowly surrounds me.

Walking dogs at the dog shelter have been a really great little positive happening.

Having good friends to talk to & social happenings with them

Beautiful weather, I have to say being back in Norway I´m really appreciating those blissful days with rays of sun gently stroking my face.

Hey Monday

I was loving the gloomy weather yesterday, sometimes it is nice to have a complete indoor chill Sunday, without feeling bad about not leaving the house.
After two days of going through my grandmas personal things, which have been nice but also a bit sad… It was good to just have this type of Sunday.

……

As a blogger and social media person, I use social media quite often. Instagram being my social media hang-up and favourite platform. I find it important to find your style and have a continues look. Having a type of red thread, will make your Instagram look much better as complete “lookbook”.

I use VSCO for editing, always using the same filter. Using the same filter will make your photos more similar and give them more of the same feel.
I use C1, then depending on the colour in the photo, I will turn the vibrant a bit down to 7 or 8.
Then I turn the saturation down as well. Usually -1 or -2.

My Instagram style is a combination of travel/nature photos and outfit photos. Creating each row into a story that belong together. I choose to focus on this as nature, travel and ethical fashion are my most common blog themes as well, so the blog and Instagram work well together.

I´ve been back in Norway for a little while now, and I´ve started noticing certain things that is different from my lifestyle in Sydney to here in Oslo. Therefore I figured Ill make a little comparison/likes/dislikes from each city. Everywhere has its ups and downs, somehow you cant have it all in one place. Probably one of the reasons we all crave change and adventure? Me personally are to restless to just be settled in one place, I already know that even though I love my country, I will not live here for the rest of my life. I would like to have it as a base, eventually buy property, then venture out to new places.

– SYDNEY LOVE –

The beaches, I do really miss the amazing beaches just a minute away..

All the great health cafes around

Affordable to go out have dinner and get drunk, without pre-drinking

The beautiful harbour

Almost no unnecessary plastic wrapping

– SYDNEY HATES –

The insane heatwaves during the summer

Peoples work ethics, not very impressive

Public transport, so so…

Bad quality on apartments & houses

– OSLO LOVE –

All the amazing nature so close by

Good public transport system

Having friends and family close by again

A intimate city vibe

Best living standards

– OSLO HATE –

Junkies and gypsies everywhere, government should organise this better

Food and drinks are so expensive

People still thinks it is all right to wear fur, disgusting and shameful…

WAY TO MUCH PLASTIC, I´m still in shock over the amount of plastic people are using here..

Over all Sydney lifestyle and Oslo lifestyle are quite different, but they both have great qualities, no doubt Sydney will always have an important place in my heart. Maybe one day Ill go and live there again, even if only for a short while.

Our good friends in Sydney; Zoe & Mauro are also moving back to Europe, so they came over to visit for a spontaneous long weekend. They left Sydney in March, moving to Amsterdam, as Zoe is from there. We haven´t seen them since they left in March, so it was amazing catching up again.

If there is one thing I never can get enough off, it is nature. Beautiful untouched, wild nature. I´m so lucky to be surrounded by so much beautiful nature and have the opportunities to go and discover more.  I´ve left Sydney´s and its amazing coastline behind, I cant wait to spend some more time around mountains and lakes here in Norway. I love that I can live only a short subway ride away from the city and have all this nature around me.

Finding a state of mindfulness is different for everyone, being in and around nature always gets me to a state of mindfulness. Our nature are an endless journey of magical moments.

Weekend is over again, almost a shame how quickly they pass by. I´m working this afternoon, so spending my morning doing yoga and updating the blog.
This weekend was a quite one, starting with a beautiful walk Saturday morning, then spending a few hours in the city. There is a “ECO WEEK OSLO ” happening, so there was a huge farmers market down by the harbour. All the different stands, had food and drink samples for everyone to try, and you could purchase their specialty products for a good price.

 – Saturday walk around Østensjø –

– Attending the farm markets in collaboration with the ECO WEEK OSLO –

– Baker Hansen ( a Norwegian bakery/cafe chain) has started using oatmylk instead of soy, so I´m sooo exited about that. Oatmylk is just hundre times better than soy, and it is also healthier. –

Sunday was a combination of cleaning the apartment and getting out of the house. We walked down to Nordstrand beach area, only a 35 min walk from us, brought some fire wood, veggie sausages and enjoyed a few hours outside. The weather were so so this weekend, but still good to get out. Love that we have so many green spots around us.

– Having a little bbq at the beach, with the tastiest veggie sausages I´ve ever tried, you get them at coop stores around Norway. –

Hope you have a good week ahead, I´m working, doing internship, catching up with a friend, going home to help my grandad for a day and then Jens and I have our good friends Zoe and Mauro coming to visit us. They are also moving back to Europe from Sydney, so we are so exited to see them again.
