Breathe in……. and out. Through your nostrils.
Doing yoga is not only good for your body strength and flexibility but it is also strengthening your mind and soul. I started a yoga challenge right after the break up, which have really helped me find new strength and move forward during very difficult times. Doing yoga everyday, following the program makes the exercise much easier to complete, because you feel like you owe it to the yoga teacher to show up on your math every day. It might sound strange, as I´m “just” following a 30 day challenge via youtube, so she cant actually see me or know if I´m doing my practise. But somehow yoga practise really makes you feel a real connection and commitment, especially when you start noticing the difference in your body and mind.

I´m pretty sure I´ve become really bad at dealing with winters, but one thing I do LOVE about real winters are going into the mountains, driving through the most amazing landscape. It is fairy-tale like, magical and mysterious. This weekend a group of my friends and I spent our time drinking to many glasses of wine, watching the snow playing up all crazy around us, doing a very short cross country trip, just to feel the cold wind on or cheeks. Followed by more wine, burning wood and slow-mood at my friends cabin.

If you have´t yet heard of or tried beeswax wraps you should set that as a goal for this coming week. Locate the nearest / easiest place to purchase them and start wrapping your food leftovers or sandwich.
Beeswax wraps are made of cotton / linen cloth covered in beeswax which makes the cloth wrap-able. It is much much better than using single use plastic or foil pluss it looks way nicer, especially bringing your sandwich to work in a cute little wrapping cloth.

The first week of January 2018 has already passed, so I thought I should share my new year resolutions, or I rather call them goals for the new year. I belive that you should not dwell over the past and what you haven´t done, but focus on what you want to do and work towards your goals and create a better future.

CONNECT WITH MY SELF ON A DEEPER LEVEL, THAT INCLUDES IMPROVING MY YOGA AND MEDITION LEVEL, CONNECT MORE WITH LIKMINDED PEOPLE & FIND A PATH THAT CREATES MORE HAPPINESS IN MY LIFE.

 

GET OUT OF THE HOUSE A BIT MORE.

 

CONTINUE IMPROVING ALL THE LITTLE THINGS I CAN FOR THE ENVIORNMENT & USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO CREATE MORE AWARENESS FOR BETTER WAYS TO LIVE.

 

BECOME A VOLUNTEER FOR A SOCIAL GROUP/CAUSE THAT I FIND IMPORTANT.

Happy 2018 everyone, may this year be a great year, hopefully better than the previous? New challenges, opportunities and positive changes.

Just wanted to share a few photos from our NYE celebration, from London. The theme was Gatsby 1920s, and everyone made a great effort to look the part. We had a great party at one of Londons sky bars, live music, champagne, great group of people and not to forget amazing views.

Hi lovelies and almost happy new year to everyone

We are flying off to London tomorrow morning, we have a pretty busy schedule, doing some vintage browsing and shopping followed by dinner and musical tomorrow.  31st will be some sightseeing, then followed by a Great Gatsby themed  New Years Eve party, which I think will be an unforgettable evening.

Ill hopefully update you during our stay or when we get back home, as it is only for 4 days.

Happy sparkling holidays from this gypsy in the north.

Hope everyone are having good time with family, friends or others they may be spending time with. I´m home in Larvik for a few days, then going back to Oslo for a few days working before flying off to London celebrating the new year.

I had a sparkling christmas eve, wearing an a amazing vintage sequin dress, there is not enough happenings to wear such a dress, so I love it when I can go all in.

Hi lovelies, christmas is in less than a week´s time, and many people are probably still out looking for gifts for friends and family. My family and I have decided not to give many gifts this year, and I have only wished for things I really need and some contribution to experiences I want to experience. I know many people believe that giving money for christmas is a no go, but if all you really want is to save up for something special, or you wanna pay down your debts, why not?

 

Giving experiences, think environment, buy something used and wrap it all up in reusable pretty boxes for a zero waist christmas experience.

Just checking in to say happy weekend to everyone, hope you are having a good one.

 

I´m home this weekend, celebrating my grandpas birthday, I got yesterday off and working late Monday, so I got a nice long weekend at home, which is great. Friday I did yoga at my mums work  as they have their own personal gym at the office, then having dinner at my grandpas place. Today we are having dinner out, good to spend some quality time together and with my gorgeous cat Mango.

Hi lovelies, winter is here, and it is still a long time to go until spring time. Winter here in the north is very long, dark and from time to time moody, way worse than I actually could remember.
Therefore I see the importance of setting goals, which will help keep my motivation up and somehow pull me through during moody periods.

 

I´ve decided that winter time requires less goals than the other seasons, as the season is much more challenging for you, so instead of focusing on to many goals, focus on a few and really work towards them.


MY GOALS

 

Do yoga three times a week, sign up for yoga classes at a yoga studio after christmas & meditate 3 times a week.

On my days off  really listen to my body giving it the nurture it needs & get at to see some day light and breath fresh air, even if it is only for a little bit.

Save a decided amount of money, as I do have a goal for the next year, that I´m not going to share until I´m sure I will be able to do it.

 

 


If you like me, find the winter long and daunting set yourself some goals including one that is at the end of the winter, it can be rewarding yourself to something you really want to to, see or need. Then  you have something to work towards and you can see yourself getting closer to the goal, especially on difficult days.
