Hi sweethearts, hope you are all having a wonderful day.

The magazine I blog for; Femelle.no is running a competition, announcing “This Years Femelle Blogger 2016”. It would be amazing if you took your time to give me, Ginger Gypsy a vote HERE, if you think I deserve it. I´ve been a Femelle blogger for 4-5 months now, so there are many other bloggers that has been a part of the network much longer, that also deserve to win. Still worth a shot, as I´m super happy to be apart of the network and will continue to be.

If you give me a vote I will be really grateful

Thank you beautiful x

Happy Sunday everyone, I just finished another weekend of work, game night, good wine and a quick healthy sustainable burger dinner last night. Jens and I were both in the mood of not having to cook, as usually I love cooking I needed a day off after a busy and very productive week.

I love the fact that people are becoming more aware of the massive food issue we are facing, and are really making changes to their lives, restaurants and cafes are approaching a more sustainable food way. In Sydney plant based food options are really great, making it so much easier to not eat meat.

My favourite burger placed is called Soul Burger and it is all plant based delicious burgers, even hard core burger lovers will approve of these burgers.

Enjoy your Sunday lovelies

It´s the time of year that these beautiful tree´s are flowering deep purple flowers around Sydney.

It means Summer is upon us, more light in the evenings and good energies in the air and it does make you feel great. Seeing the nature flower reminds me of how fragile it is, being constantly abused by humans. Take a step back look around you, stop abusing, start appreciating and slow down your lifestyle.

I love asian inspired cooking, especially the combination of ginger chilli and soy sauce. This week I made this healthy asian style salad, which is great for dinner or for lunch.

I made it really simple and green this time around, as I mix it up after what I got in my fridge and what I feel like.

Hi Lovelies!

We have had some really nice days the last week, unfortunately I´ve had a pretty full schedule with uni and work, almost half way through this trimester, which is crazy. Time is flying, and there is still much that needs to be done. With that said, I can not complain, I´m enjoying every busy step of the way, especially now, being so close to the end of my bachelor.

 Enjoy your weekend beautiful people!

How happy I was waking up Friday morning, to find a package full of treasures waiting for me.

My amazing grandparents, decided to surprise me, with some great Norwegian treats. Living abroad, there is nothing better than receiving Norwegian goodies and speak Norwegian once in a while, if you have lived abroad or do, you know what I mean. We often dont appreciate what we do have until we do not have it anymore, my time away has really made me so happy for this life I got and my amazing country.

So grateful for those little things

Hi Lovelies!

Monday again, let´s start the week motivated and positive. I´m starting mine with sharing this amazing new company with you guys!

A sustainable lifestyle is a really important matter, that I´m very passionate about, something I´ve had a strong focus on for the last 5 -6 years. When I started my Branded Fashion Design Bachelor I became even more aware of the negative impact fashion has on our planet, animals & the people involved in the industry.

One of the reason I decided to chose a degree within fashion design & branding is because I have a real passion to make a better future, I love individual style and clothing and I do believe it is still possible to change peoples value system and make a more environmental friendly fashion future.

A few months back I came a cross this new Norwegian Company that is launching this Autumn. They are called FJONG, and they are encouraging people to buy less and supporting a more sustainable fashion industry. They are offering a great service that will double or triple your wardrobe, in a sustainable way! You can simply rent or rent-out your wardrobe via FJONG. Need a dress for a special occasion? Going on Holiday and want something “new” to wear? FJONG makes it all possible! We all buy to much, especially fast fashion, but the truth is most of our wardrobe is just hanging there in the closet. With FJONG you can make money putting your clothes up for rent, make someone happy, make yourself happy having that beautiful handbag you wanted. Never grow tired of your clothes and most important, stop the extreme buying habits we have.

Only my small country of about 5 mill people, our clothing consumption have the same pollution rate as 800.000 cars?! That is such a high number, which needs to go down. Our shopping and lifestyle habits are slowly killing our planet, it has to stop. What FJONG is doing is great, it has made me even more exited about moving back to Norway next year, so I can join the FJONG movement. In the mean time I´m keeping my shopping very limited, purchasing second hand and ethical as much as possible. Are you living in Norway? Time to become a “Fjongster”.

Follow them on Facebook, Instagram & sign up as a member at their website. FJONG

Essential oils are pure magic, if you have not discovered it yet, now is the time.  I got interested in essential oils, as one of my co-workers was talking about it and praising it. I always look for alternative products, staying off the mass produced chemical infused brands. They might say on the packaging it is great for you, but over all there is always a chemical involved. Essential oils are natural oils from plants. Different oils have different benefits and fragrance, you can use it for everything.

Put it on your body as a natural perfume, or your hair. Blend it into a massage oil, use it for a body scrub, face glow, air freshener, sun burnt skin, anything you can think off! As said every oil has different benefits, so do your research and find out what benefits you are after, and then make the decision for which oils you prefer, or just get them all!

LAVENDER

My favourite right now is lavender. Lavender is perfect for stressful periods, find calm during yoga or meditation practise + the smell is amazing! It can be used with your facial oil/cream to reduce wrinkles, or mixed with your body oil/cream if you struggle with dry or irritated skin.

Hi beautiful people

—————–

I´ve had a really hectic week so far and its not slowing down until Wednesday next week. I´m in week three of twelve at this trimester, so next week is the first assessment week. There´s a lot of work to be done this term. I´m one step from finishing my Branded Fashion Design degree, so this trimester we are getting a pre-taste of what the last term is going to look like. Currently working on a brand proposal for my label, as we have to develop a brand, both visual and physical. The physical part is having our designs made, with all the appropriate features, industry standards, all though this term we only have to make 1 look. When I´m working on all the visual that has to be done, I need a good study rhythm and a good spot to work.

The days I´m not at uni, I make my kitchen into a study desk, this works great, as I can “build” a standing desk. I concentrate so much better standing up, and also it is so much better for your blod circulation and for your posture and back. Sitting long days on a chair is the worst. If you have not tried the “standing technique” before, it will probably feel a bit odd the first couple of times, but I really encourage you to test it out, and if you get tired, take short breaks of sitting down and doing stretch-exercises. It has made my study hours so much more productive.

Enjoy the rest of your week guys, hopefully you got less things to do!
