– Happy Sunday everyone –

Exactly in one week, Jens and I will be on a plane to Bali, we are meeting his family there, I just can´t wait to be in paradise for three weeks. We are going to a few different places, so I will give you some travel-paradise inspiration the next coming weeks. Bali is only six hours flight from Sydney, so it´s the perfect paradise spot, when living on this side of the world. Next few days Ill be dreaming away.. But first 4 more assessments to go, work and a modelling job. Let the week be over already.

We are staying in 4 different locations and here is a little sneak peak

The perfect everyday boot that is sustainable, comfortable, good price and water proof. I was actually looking for a new pair of rain boots, for city wear. As Sydney over all has good weather, we get occasional rain and storms. So having a pair of city rain boots have been a need since my old pair died on me at a gig last year.

My new boots are of the brand Melissa, which is a sustainable all rubber shoe brand. Only using recycled rubber, no animals or humans need to suffer. The shoes are amazing and so comfortable.

The ocean, and the mountains, my two favourite places to be, I could not live without either two. I´m not religious, but if I was, then ocean and mountains would be my true religion. It somehow presents you the answer you search, saves you from your fears and gives you back your strength and courage.

– Healthy vegan dessert –

It is the final day of our raw detox, it went surprisingly easy, after smoothie breakfast and salad lunch tomorrow I will make “normal” dinner again. Still be healthy but defiantly some pasta, cooked food and red wine will be on the meny. To celebrate the end of a great detox week, and the beginning of a new healthy week, I made my favourite healthy dessert for tomorrow, the coconut cream mousse, you have to do it. it is simply the best.

I try to stay away from dairy as much as possible, choosing coconut cream. There is so many other products that is so much better for us and for our planet than animal products, especially dairy.

I´m not a health fanatic, at least I tell myself that, I just simply believe we have so many great products out there that are healthy and delicious. So why go for the artificial and unhealthy choice, especially when there are options that is so much better for the environment and for you!?

To make the mousse, you simply need the coconut cream – put in the fridge for a few hours before using. 1/2 a teaspoon vanilla extract, 2-3 teaspoons cocoa powder (real cocoa powder without any added sugar or sweetener) and last if you are a strict vegan use agave, if not go for a organic honey. I prefer the honey flavour, as I make sure I buy real organic honey, of good quality. Cinnamon, berries or nuts of of your choice for topping.

The week has come to an end, I´m sorry there has not been that many outfit posts so far on the blog, but Ill get better. The last few weeks has really just been work, work, work & study, study, study. I´m at the end of my trimester, so are working my way through my four finals for this term. I´m also doing my detox until Wednesday, so no big plans the coming days. Anyway, we had a friends birthday Thursday, so it was good to get my head off finals and work for a few hours.

Wearing a beautiful knit that I got second, it is really warm, but stil elegant. So perfect for a late night dinner when it´s still a bit chilli out..

Mentioned earlier this week, I said Jens and I was going to do a detox week, as we thought we did not have any important happenings or events to attend this week, with most of our friends out of town. I got my shopping list and week meny ready on Monday, then; we completely forgot about a friends birthday this Thursday. As he invited us out for a B-day dinner, we had to postpone our detox, starting tomorrow.

The shopping is done, meals for tomorrow is prepped and I´m ready for a fresh week, but first we will enjoy a few glasses of red tonight.

The Detox plan:

what we can eat/drink:

All vegetables and fruits – fresh uncocked

Beans, Lentils and chick peas

water and herbal teas

2 tablespoons of coconut yoghurt every day

Free range organic eggs – cooked is fine

herbs and spices (himalaya salt in moderation)

nuts and seeds unsalted

The detox plan I used for inspiration is here: http://www.bodyandsoul.com.au/diet/diets/the-7-day-detox-plan/news-story/cfb1850be6010553eba661bb9cbcb938

We are making our own twist to it, swapping the yoghurt for coconut yoghurt to avoid any dairy. Second Jens is not having any meat (I dont eat meat), making it as green as possible.

Can´t belive it is already 4 weeks since I left my family at the airport in Singapore.. Back in Sydney and life is back to normal, studies, work, friends everyday life, also a little more grateful for having a family that does not make me feel bad for my decisions.

Over the past three years, I´ve really come to  appreciate little things, I have to make myself happy before I can make anyone around me happy, and you should not follow the road that you know is expected of you. My road was supposedly; Work, figure out what you wanna study, study, go on a little backpacker trip, cause travel is good for you, come back and live a normal life, work, buy a house, get married..

I´m happy I chose the unexpected road.

– Ginger, apple cider vinegar and lemon is my “secret weapon” to a perfect start of every day –

It is Monday again, yoga is done, uni assessments are being worked on and Jens suggested we´d do a detox week. As I´m usually the big health freak in this relationship, I thought it would be a great idea, and I have not done one in to long. As we both live very healthy already, we decided to do one that is not based on juicing, but a combo of juice/smoothies – raw salads/vegetables and nuts/seeds. No alcohol during the seven days detox is probably going to be the hardest for us, as we both love red wine on a weekly basis.. We are starting on Wednesday, have a few things in the fridge we need to finish first. In the meantime I´m enjoying my lemon-ginger kick with some inspirational reading (sorry book is in Norwegian) The book is a great inspiration, it gives you positive energy, makes you appreciate every little thing and keep you working towards what you want.

– Stay positive –

I´m a believer in clean living, especially when it comes to what we put in and on our body. The outside of our bodies are just as important as the inside, we should therefore always keep that in mind when buying health and beauty products. I rarely buy any beauty or health products, cause I just really dont like spending time in front of the mirror, I prefer as natural as possible and doing it myself. I think the more natural the better, and if you combine healthy food and “healthy” skincare you have already come a long way. So I wanna share my simple recipe for a shower body scrub; It is cheap, it is natural and 100% real and no extra packing when you do it yourself. It is made up of three ingredients, ingredients that I always have in the house. The scrub is for all over the body, even the face – as long as you are gentle while scrubbing your face.

Benefits:

Coconut oil is really moisturizing for your skin, gives glow and no scary additives. Himalaya salt is full of minerals and it detoxifies your skin. Matcha is full of antioxidants and it is anti-ageing.

– organic coconut oil – organic  pink himalaya salt  – organic real matcha  –

– You will only need 1-2 teaspoons of the matcha –

2016-07-25 12.14.13 2

– You want the paste to be dry, so make sure you go slow when adding the coconut oil –

We are starting to have spring arrive in store; at work. And there are so many pretty things, cant wait to walk around with bare legs again. As for those who belive Australia is warm all year round, it is depending on where you are. Sydney – is not. winter is from June – end of August and it dips bellow 10 degrees, even from May you would not really wear summer clothing anymore. So it is not bare leg weather these days. Hopefully mid September I´ll be back on the beach.

– Have a fabulous weekend everyone, Ill be working and dreaming of spring to arrive –
